First worked in the Step X Step exchange and was unfortunately made to sweep the floor before work started at 8:00 am on that day by Ashok Ram (Engineer) who I later knew at the end of the day was the Exchange Cleaner.
Attended TTC doing a Technician Certificate in 1982 & 1983 and graduate out of TTC in 1984 and was posted again as a Senior Technician at the Step by Step Exchange under the supervision of Adjodya Prasad (Kalokalo). Remembered that Mr. Pratap Singh was then the ADD - Assistant Director Development when Tom Lee Joe retired. Pratap later became the General Manager Network and now a Board Director.
Worked under various Supervisors and Managers including Anirudh Kumar (somewhere from Nausori), Jona Tupua, Filipe Amoe, Dur Swamy, RD Sharma, Nambiar, Abdul Azaad, Dip Narayan, Rajendra Kumar, Sele Koro, Emosi Sai, late Emori Ramoka, Jai Hind, Ranjit Pathak, Timoci Vakatawa, Sanaila Kaufuti, Carl Koong, Manik Prasad, EMosi Lawalevu (Yame Balavu) Arjun Raman, Nepote Qurai, Sarwan Singh, Aslam Khan, Raj Deo, Rakesh Kumar (Kaka or small boy as I call him because we used to box at YMCA) Deepak, Mohammed Sahim (Kalikal - Tall guy from Nausori) ...... the lists go on.
Did programming language in USP in 1984 & 1985. Then moved towards Management and Masters. Never stop learning and still learning. |
